Turning On the Headset

• After turning on your headset for the first time, it may require a system update. This may take some time.
• Open the Meta Quest App on your smartphone.The app will detect the new headset and prompt you to enter the pairing code that you noted earlier. Enter the code in the app, and the pairing between your Meta account and the headset will be completed.

Step 3: Basic Operations

1. Return to Home Screen
   To return to the Home Lobby at any time, simply press the "Meta" button on the right-hand controller (this works similarly to a phone's Home button). If you ever feel lost in a VR app or menu, just press this button to go back to the home screen.

2. Select and Execute Actions
   When holding the controller, you can point at the target you want to select. To make a selection or execute an action, press the trigger button (the button under your index finger, similar to tapping on a smartphone). Think of the trigger button as a tap or click action.

3. Reset the View
   If your screen view gets misaligned or your position in VR feels off, you can reset the view. Hold down the Meta button on the right-hand controller for 3 seconds while looking straight ahead. This will reset the screen and re-center it to be directly in front of you, so everything will realign properly. This is especially useful if the screen view or orientation is out of place.

   The original head strap can be tricky to adjust, especially if multiple people are using the headset. The Elite Head Strap offers better comfort and stability and makes adjustments much easier, particularly for different users.

   The Meta Quest 3 can drain battery quite quickly. To extend your playtime, it's a good idea to buy two power banks and alternate between them while playing. Look for power banks that provide 18W output or higher so you can charge the headset while continuing to play.

4. Prescription Lens Inserts
   If you wear glasses, investing in prescription lens inserts for the headset can make it more convenient and provide clearer vision. For users who share the headset with others, consider magnetic lens inserts that can be easily removed or swapped out between users, ensuring both comfort and clarity.
